Ministers lay foundation stone for Sewage Pumping Station in NGV

Bangalore Development Minister KJ George along with Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy initiated pooja for Construction and Execution of BWSSB Waste Water Management Sewage Pumping Station from NGV Housing Complex to Chalagatta valley STP Unit in Ejipura Ward 148, BTM Constituency on Friday. The venue was NGV Housing Complex (Behind Krishna Block Apartments) Ejipura Ward. Corporators M Chandrappa, G Manjunath (Chairman Market Committee), Ramachandra, Councillor Ashok Reddy and others look on.
Name of works: 1) Construction of Pumping Station from NGV Sports complex ISPS to K&CValley STP under AMRUT-Package. 2) Construction of 210 MLD ISPS including O&M of entire system for 7 years. The total estimated cost is Rs.104 cr.

On Friday Bangalore Development Minister KJ George along with Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy laid foundation stone to construct a 210 Million Litres per Day (MLD) capacity Intermediate Sewage Pumping Station (ISPS) at Koramangala sports complex.
Speaking on the occasion, Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy said that the project would be completed intwo years time. Once the facility is commissioned, sewage from the area will get pumped to Koramangala and Challaghatta Valley Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), he said.
The company which has bagged the contract will be maintaining it for seven more years after completing the works, he added. 1800 mm pipeline would be laid to pump the water to an extrent of 5.3 kilometres.
